Getting your data back out
Every report in LakeOps exports to CSV from the same screen you read it on, and the completed-work report additionally renders a PDF — which together cover jobs, revenue, productivity, customers, equipment and the activity log.
Export lives on the reports rather than in a settings page, because a report is where you have already chosen the date range and the filters that make the file useful.
What you can export
| Report | What comes out |
|---|---|
| Completed work | Every job finished in the range, grouped by customer and property, down to the item line with quantity, unit, amount and what has been paid. CSV and PDF. |
| Revenue | What was billed and collected over the range. |
| Productivity | On-site minutes against work done — per crew, per lake, per item type. |
| Progress | How far through the season the work is. |
| Customers | What each customer was worth, and what is outstanding. |
| Equipment | What each unit did. |
| Activity | The audit trail: who did what, and when. |
All of them take a date range. The CSV comes off the same query as the screen, so what you read and what you export cannot disagree.
The two you will actually use
- Completed work, as CSV — for your bookkeeper or your accounting package, once a season or once a month.
- Completed work, as PDF, filtered to one customer — for the association or commercial customer who wants a document. This is what stands in for an invoice, since LakeOps does not have any. See charge on completion.
Exporting is its own permission. A role can be allowed to read a report without being allowed to walk out with the file — worth knowing when you set up a seasonal office hand.
Photos
Reference photos on your items are permanent and are not part of a report export. Per-visit proof photos are kept for the two most recent completions of each item and then cleared — see photos. If you need a set kept beyond that for a dispute, save it before it ages out.
A full account export
The reports cover the operational record, which is what almost every request is actually for. If you need a complete structured dump of the account — every customer, property, item, agreement and job — get in touch. It is your data and we will get it to you.
