Canceling your subscription

Last updated August 21, 2026

Canceling from Settings → Your LakeOps plan stops the renewal and nothing else: the term you are in runs to its end and is still billable, every record stays readable, and you can put the plan back on at any point before that date.

Canceling stops your plan renewing. It does not delete anything, it does not stop you working tomorrow, and it is reversible right up until the day your term ends. Those four facts are the whole of it, and the screen says them all before you press anything.

Where it is

Settings → Your LakeOps plan. At the bottom, under "Leaving LakeOps". You need the same permission that manages billing — an owner has it, and the office does not unless you gave it to them.

What actually happens

Your plan stops renewing. The twelve-month term you are in runs to its end date, and that end date is on the confirmation screen so you are not working it out from an invoice.

The rest of the term is still billable, and canceling does not refund it. This is the part most likely to feel unfair in the moment, so it is on the screen before you confirm rather than discovered afterwards. See what LakeOps costs.

Nothing changes about the work until that date. Crews go out, jobs complete, customers pay you, seasons generate — exactly as today. After it, no new season generates and no crew can be dispatched.

Every record stays, and stays readable. Customers, properties, history, photographs, reports and exports are all still there and still open, through the cancellation and after it. Canceling is not deletion and never turns into deletion on its own.

Changing your mind

The same screen has a button to put the plan back on, and it works right up to the end of the term. Nobody needs to ring us. A shop that cancels in a bad week in July can undo it in August and nothing was lost in between.

If you want it all gone as well

That is a different, heavier thing and it is deliberately separate — see closing your account and deleting your data. Canceling leaves everything intact on purpose: most people who leave want their records to still be there.

Put your own shoreline on the screen

Create the account yourself, import your customer list, drop a few pins, and look at your own lake this afternoon. You’re not charged until your first season generates work — and if it isn’t obviously better than what you’re doing now, you’ve lost an hour.

No card, no sales call, nothing to book — you're in within a minute. Send us a question if you'd rather ask a person first.
