Trying a season without generating it

Run the season dry first. It shows you the same count and the same bill as generating would, makes no jobs, and points at every shoreline that has no plan yet.
Generating a season creates the jobs and, on an account that has started billing, starts the clock on that season's charge. A dry run is the same page with none of that: the same count, the same bill, and nothing created.
What it shows you
- How many properties the season would make work for — counted as properties, not plans, so a customer with three lifts is one.
- What it would cost. The same number the billing screen would charge, worked out without charging it.
- The shorelines nobody is coming for. Every property with no service plan for this season, which is how you find the half of the book you have not finished loading.
The dry run writes nothing. No jobs, no charge, no clock. Run it as often as you like while you load the book. The page says so at the top rather than in a footnote, because a screen that looks exactly like the season is a screen somebody will think they have already generated.
Then generate for real
When the count reads right, go to the season and press Generate. Generation never makes a second job for a plan that already has one, so pressing it twice — or generating after a dry run — is safe. See generating a season.
